diphasic

Diphasic – aka Chee Wee – is a Singaporean electronic music artist who produces music mainly in the genres of drum & bass. He draws his influences from dub, ragga, jungle, drum & bass, dubstep and ambient music. His productions have also gained support from DJs such as KIAT (Metalheadz), Andy Vortex (Qilin), DJ Spindall (Rude FM), Brian Roguestate (Bassdrive) and The Untouchables (CX Digital). He was also invited to showcase his sounds by the Singapore’s music collective, Syndicate and was featured on TimeOut Singapore magazine for their local producers’ special.

Over the last few years, Diphasic has also played out live sets of his own productions on the local +65 drum & bass nights, as well as on internet radios such as Cannibal Radio (Greece) and Panoptkn (Singapore). Recently, he was invited to open for Deep Medi’s Goth Trad debut performance in Singapore.

Amongst the varied styles of drum & bass, Diphasic’s music can be described as half-time drum & bass with dub stylings, underlain by deep bass lines infused with the occasional eastern ethnic vocals.
